UPORT in large scale infrastructures

UPORT is part of INFRA StemCells a Large-Scale Research Infrastructure (GWI) aiming to provide stem cell-based model systems to the Dutch science community, and of ONCODE Accelerator, a large Growth Fund project aimed at accelerating the drug development pipeline in the field of oncology.

Who is this service for?

Researchers from the UMC Utrecht, the UU, the Hubrecht Institute, the Princes Maxima Center, HUB Organoids and their collaboration partners.

Costs and payment

UPORT will start charging the running costs (€450,00 per inclusion) to its users as of January 2025. An inclusion consists out of the process from patient selection to obtain the informed consent. Sample costs, according to sample type such as healthy tissue, tumor tissue, blood, urine, smear test, nasal brush and ascites, will be charged separately. If you need fresh human tissue for a future research project, please contact us to incorporate the appropriate budget in your proposal. Payments can be done through UMC ‘kostenplaats’ Z043.
